Processed Nation

Since Micky D’s is getting such a bad rap on the burger and fries that lasted a half the year without growing mold, I’ve decided to show that they’re not the only ones!  Tomorrow, I will be purchasing food from Chick-Fil-A (which I honestly hate to do because I love their company values), Subway, and Chipotle (owned by McDonald’s) to see how these fast food restaurants fair.

Some people don’t even consider Subway or Chipotle to be fast food because they don’t have drive- throughs.  They’re fast food in my books!

I know what I think will happen.  What are your predictions on what will happen?

Don’t forget I have a cat.  This could get interesting around here.

  1. Cool Eve! I was thinking this should be done and I am glad you are doing it! Please keep us posted and I would love to feature your experiment in one of my newsletters :).

    Good Luck!
Oh – one more thought – what about adding the original McDonald’s meal to the mix just to compare…

  2. Wes says:

Hopefully all of the veggies decay in a normal amount of time. A fried sandwich from Chick-fil-a might last a while since the meat is protected by the breading. Speaking of bread — I hope that Subway’s bread grows mold quickly, since it is supposed to be so fresh.

  3. I just noticed you had a blog. Yeah, Eve! I’ll blast this post out to my peeps. Interesting, we shall await the results!
