In August, I was also trying to “take it all in.” Whatever that means at this point. It’s hard to stop and appreciate anything when everything is revolving around upcoming races, travel, training, eating, sleeping. We had a few fun things going on at home, but honestly, not much. Movie night happened and I got dressed up for a joy jar. Woo hoo, our lives are so much fun! 🙂
The food was changing because I was sick of everything we’d been eating for the last year. But, I really didn’t have time to research and change things up too much. I wasn’t training as much as I had before so something needed the change for sure. Also, after coming back from Leadville MTB, the training volume was way lower so that meant less calories and carbohydrates. Immediately. I started planning around that to start.
